Industry wide deprecation of 3 year certificates

  Print
We want to inform you of upcoming industry deprecation of 3 year certificates.

The CA/Browser Forum approved Ballot 193 which reduces the maximum validity period (or "lifetime") for Domain Validated (DV) or Organization Validated (OV) SSL/TLS certificates from 39 months to 27 months (825 days).

This is an industry-wide change required of all Certificate Authorities.

You will no longer be able to order SSL/TLS certificates with 3 year validity periods from Servertastic after 15 February 2018.

If you currently have a certificate which is valid for 3 years or more, it should continue to work as intended for the remainder of the certificate's term, and no action related to this industry-wide change is required.

If you must replace or reissue your 3-year certificate for any reason after February 20th, 2018, you will receive a replacement certificate with the remaining term left on your original certificate or 825 days maximum. We can work with you to address any discrepancies of certificate validity.

We appreciate your business. If you have additional questions, please contact our support team.
